English love poems suitable for confession (二)
No.1 Love’s Philosophy
By Shelley
The fountains mingle with the river
And the rivers with the ocean,
The winds of heaven mix for ever
With a sweet emotion;
Nothing in the world is single,
All things by a law divine
In one another’s being mingle—
Why not I with thine?
See the mountains kiss high heaven
And the waves clasp one another;
No sister-flower would be forgive
If it disdain’d its brother;
And the sunlight clasps the earth,
And the moonbeams kiss the sea
What are all these kissings worth,
If you kiss not me?
No.2 Short poem
1. To see a world in a grain of sand,
And a heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand,
And eternity in an hour.
2. If you were a teardrop;In my eye,
For fear of losing you,I would never cry.
And if the golden sun,Should cease to shine its light,
Just one smile from you,Would make my whole world bright.
